IUPUI Students

Make an Investment in your Future

We know that paying for college is challenging for many students. At IUPUI, we strive to make college affordable by keeping tuition low, offering substantial amounts of financial aid and admission-based scholarships, in addition to providing programs and competitive scholarships to help you minimize your debt.

We award scholarships to both incoming and current students in recognition of outstanding academic achievement, a passion to succeed, leadership and community service. Some scholarships may also consider your financial need based on the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Federal Student Aid. If a scholars program or competitive scholarship is based on financial need, be sure to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by IUPUI’s priority deadline of March 10th each year. The IUPUI Office of Student Financial Services can assist you with any questions regarding a variety of state and federal financial aid programs, including grants, work-study positions, and loans.

We encourage you to contact your academic school to inquire about scholarship opportunities within their areas along with researching the private (external) sector for scholarships. Try free scholarship searching databases such as www.fastweb.com and www.collegeboard.com. By the way, we don’t recommend using paid scholarship search sites. You can learn about common scholarship scams at the Better Business Bureau or the Federal Trade Commission.
